ABOUT MIKE

When Michelle and I decided to put down roots, we chose Ward 2.

It didn't take long to reach out to my local Councillor. Two weeks passed before I heard back, and only after sending a reminder. My second request went unanswered entirely.

That's the standard Ward 2 residents have been forced to accept.

I've spent 15+ years building businesses, managing budgets, and leading teams. I know what accountability looks like because I've had to deliver it.

Ward 2 deserves a Councillor you can actually reach, spends your tax dollars wisely, and makes sure growth works for the people who live here.

I'm running to be that Councillor.

What a Fresh Start looks like

A Councillor you can reach

Guaranteed 24-hour response time, monthly "office hours", and every vote explained in plain language. We won't always agree, but you'll always know where I stand on important issues.

Respect for your
tax dollars

I'll advocate for keeping property tax increases in line with inflation and focusing on delivering world-class core services. Residents should be able to count on roads that are maintained, snow that's cleared, and highly responsive municipal services. I'll support an aggressive expansion of non-resident paid parking and explore other ways of leveraging tourism to pay for new infrastructure.

Growth that works for Ward 2

Growth isn't coming, it's already here. With thousands of residential units coming to the area through 2030, we need to get ahead of it - not react to it. That means:

Revitalize Uptown Keswick

People take pride in places worth being proud of. Clean streets, maintained storefronts, neighbourhoods that feel cared for.

Safe streets

Church Street East of Mackenzie Court has transitioned from a corridor into a residential neighbourhood. We need to implement traffic calming measures and extend the Community Safety Zone now, before density increases and the problem gets worse.

Increasing Housing Supply

Fast-track ARU approvals and minor "backyard" projects like decks and fences. Work closely with upper levels of government to execute affordable housing projects, remove red tape, and approach problems through the lens of "how can we make this work?"
